What Our Students And Parents say
GEM Martial Arts is not only the best Karate school, it consists of a Mother, Sensei Gail and her Son, Sensei Zach; who have dedicated their lives to Martial Arts.
That being said, they, have changed my 14 year old daughter, Makayla’s life, in ways that I never knew possible!! She is more outgoing, more sociable in public, more confident, physically fit and very strong!
But most of all, in her 5th year of karate, is a brand new Brown belt, and ranks very high in 99% of our karate tournaments! This is all because of the very professional, focused, serious training at GEM Martial Arts.

My son Gabriel and I joined Gem Martial Arts March 2016. It is a great atmosphere for a karate dojo and a happy family environment for kids and parents to train, everyone it’s close like a tight knit family. There’s no pressure, no contracts and lots of fun activities & tournaments, fundraisers and fun things to do. It is very professional and in my opinion the best karate school. You get promoted when you earn it and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I absolutely recommend the school to anyone who wants to learn real Martial Arts and have fun in the process.

My kids and I have been at GEM Martial Arts for close to 7 years. For lack of better terms, we are “lifers”. This school teaches so much more than just karate. Respect, self confidence and dedication are just a few life lessons we have received from Sensei Gail and Sensei Zach. We are family and wouldn’t change a thing. GEM Martial Arts has been an amazing influence on our family as a whole!! ❤️
I highly recommend this karate school to anyone, no matter how young or old.

I brought my son Ryan to Gail after doing a trial month at another dojo closer to our house. I was worried about changing my son after creating a relationship somewhere else but frankly couldn’t afford to stay there. Gail and her staff have continued to blow me away! I’ve known her for over 20 years, when she used to teach me karate as a kid. Let me tell you, she hasn’t change at all!! The transition for Ryan was flawless. They were all more than welcoming to both of us. You get more than what you pay for here. Gail focuses on TEACHING the kids vs just getting through the class. She adjusts her teaching to fit each student. She focuses on them and what their goals are as individuals. She teaches confidence to students who may have trouble breaking out of their shell. She makes sure each student learns the correct way to do each move vs the “close enough” attitude. Ryan looks forward to going to karate every day he has class. He gets excited to learn new things and continues to practice when he comes home. We’ve had a hard time finding something he likes. Gem is more than just a class I take my son too, it’s a family that cares.
